Technologies

Using advanced translation technologies is already state of the art in our industry. D.O.G. not only uses the latest tools on the market, but also develops products that optimise the work of translators and editors. For example, ErrorSpy developped by D.O.G. is the first commercial quality assurance software for translations.

Technologies used on a standard basis include Trados, Transit, MemoQ, Passolo, Catalyst and others. Translation memory systems (also called translation memory or computer-aided translation tools) store existing translations and recommend that these be used in new documents. This is particularly advantageous in the case of texts containing repetitions or those that require regular updating.

If you bundle your translation projects via D.O.G., you will get more out of the translation memories. The more translation units stored in a single database, the greater the savings.

Furthermore, D.O.G. has designed applications and internal tools for various tasks:

  • A program for checking the terminology of source texts: ChangeAssistant
  • The terminology extraction program TermiDOG
  • The terminology platform LookUp
  • Software for translation quality assurance ErrorSpy
  • An internal workflow system for secure order processing

Furthermore, D.O.G. uses the products of its Canadian sales partner:
